Professional Experience:

Richard Sherrill specializes in trust and estate planning and administration, disputes and titling of assets. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), board certified by The Florida Bar in Wills, Trusts and Estates, and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. Richard handles all aspects of trust and estate matters, prenuptial agreements, probate, and will and trust contests. He regularly represents fiduciaries in ancillary administration of Florida estates for out-of-state decedents.  Richard’s practice also includes real estate closings and finance. He is an agent for a number of title insurance underwriters including First American Title Insurance Company, Stewart Title, Westcor, Old Republic, and Fidelity National Title.

Richard has been practicing law for over 25 years and joined Clark Partington in 2001. He earned his law degree from The University of Florida College of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University. Richard has served on his firm’s Executive Committee. He is a member of the Executive Council of The Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, where he has served as Chair of Estate and Trust Tax Planning. He is regularly invited to speak at continuing legal education programs and seminars in the areas of his expertise.

Richard has served in various leadership roles in the community over the years, including at his parish and with Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation, Goodwill of the Gulf Coast, Nemours Advisory Council and the City of Pensacola Parks Board.
