At last week’s annual meeting of the Florida Bar Construction Law Institute held in Orlando, FL, Bruce D. Partington, a shareholder with the Clark Partington law firm, was honored with the Institute’s 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award. Each year, the Institute recognizes one Florida construction lawyer for “his or her lifetime of exemplary dedication and mentoring, and their commitment to maintaining the very highest level of professional reputation and integrity.” This special honor was magnified for Bruce when his father and Firm founder, Don H. Partington, was invited to be the surprise presenter of the award at the ceremony.

Bruce D. Partington is Board Certified in Construction Law. His law practice is largely devoted to this area as well as other commercial, real property, and insurance litigation. Partington regularly represents those involved with the construction and development process such as private owners and developers, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. Bruce is also proud to be a Charter Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA), and was proud to serve on The Florida Bar’s Construction Law Certification Committee from 2015-2021.
Partington is an AV rated attorney who has been repeatedly been named to the SuperLawyers list and recognized by Florida Trend as a Legal Elite. Bruce has also been an active member of the Rotary Club of Pensacola since 1998, and currently serves as the Club’s President. Additionally, in January, Bruce was one of eight Pensacola honorees to be recognized with a 2023 Living the Dream award, an honor presented to select local leaders who carry the torch of Dr. King’s Legacy by sharing his vision and advocating for racial equality.
