July 1, 2019 – Clark Partington is pleased to announce that Bruce D. Partington has been appointed Chair of the Construction Law Certification Committee of the Florida Bar effective July 1, 2019. The Construction Law Certification Committee reviews candidates for board certification and administers the annual exam. Bruce has been a member of the Committee since 2015. To attain Board Certification in Construction law, the Florida Bar requires that attorneys practice law for at least five years, are substantially involved in the specialty of construction law (40% or more in the three years immediately preceding application), complete 45 hours of approved construction law certification CLE in the three years immediately preceding application, be peer reviewed, pass a written exam and re-certify every five-years. Bruce has been Board Certified in Construction law since the certification was created in 2005.
Bruce has been an attorney with Clark Partington since 1990 after receiving his law degree from Florida State University, with honors. He regularly represents those involved with the construction and development process such as private owners and developers, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. He has experience in both contract drafting and dispute resolution processes in public and private projects throughout Florida and beyond, in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and mediation.
Bruce has also been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyer since 2006, and has been AV-rated in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory for over 20 years. He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and the Construction Law Society of America, and was named an American Bar Foundation Fellow in 2018.
