Bates has been recognized by The Florida Bar’s Business Law Section for his service as the Executive Council’s Legislation Committee Chair. Doug was also awarded the Section’s Outstanding Member of the Year for exceptional service and leadership. The Business Law Section of The Florida Bar is Florida’s primary resource for promoting business-friendly legislation. In addition to Doug’s service as chair of the Business Law Section’s Legislative Committee, Doug serves on numerous committees within the Business Law Section, is a member of the Section’s Business Courts Task Force, and is the immediate past chair of The Florida Bar’s Standing Committee on Student Education and Bar Admissions.
